Our five days in San Francisco were amazing. In 18 months The City hasn't changed much and still feels very much like home. I oohed and aahed over the victorian houses, the sunlit hills and the views across the bay. However, I was shocked to discover that the water of the bay is a very nasty gray-green. I suppose after more than a year in Hawaii I've been conditioned to expect crystal clear aqua waters.
Bryan had a blast soaking up guy time with all his old buddies. They talked music, drank a ton of beer and reminisced of their band days.
I treated myself to long walks in the city, some shopping and a manicure.
We went to a wedding, a BBQ and baseball game, celebrated Carolyn's birthday, chilled with Dan and Laura, and fulfilled our craving of Indian food.
The City still has a strong hold on my heart but it also felt good to come back to Hawaii. It's relaxed here. It's warm. And it's where we're together.
