A little over two years ago Bryan and I hosted a New Years Eve party to ring in 2006 - which would be the year we'd pack up all our stuff and move to Hawaii. At that party Bryan created the now infamous game Hallway Bowling. We set up large bottles of water at one end of the hallway of my apartment and then had our guests stand at the other end with a ball and bowl away. The game was an instant success and proved to be one highlight of the party.
A few weeks ago, two days after our visit from Jaisy, we hosted a MLK Monday rooftop BBQ. We invited all sort of folks and about 15 to 20 of them showed. All in all, a terrific event that proved to us again we do have friends and they do like to spend time with us. It's oddly reassuring to realize people want to stick around. They don't just show up and jet like we're afraid they will. Instead, they stay for hours. After the food was eaten, most of the beer was drunk, and the sun had set, we still had people on our roof.
And once again, Bryan showed his true skills at game organization.
The water bottles came out, the ball was located, and within minutes he had a game of rooftop bowling going. An instant hit!

Ain't nobody better than us at makeshift bowling games.
