I'll tell you what makes me go hmmmm.... WILD CHICKENS! What the %$*@! Why are they here? Why are they wild? Why so many on Kauai and some on the North Shore? These are the chickens we encountered on our camping trip. And I saw many more this week on Kauai.2. Something sweet

someone told me that all the random chickens and roosters belong to people and aren't just free for the taking...true or not, i don't know.
I actually heard the chickens are all over Kauai because of the hurricane back in '98 or whenever. I guess the storm was so strong it destroyed chicken coops and left many chickens homeless, only to breed wild chickens.
I would not want to eat those chickens. Kauai is the chickens as SF is to pigeons. Don't eat the birds.
