Carnival! A Photo Essay

Last weekend was the Punahou Carnival and conveniently located across the street from our house. We ventured out on Saturday afternoon and had a blast. We ate good (and cheap!) food, checked out the games, and surveyed the rides.

After a gyro, a malsada and a large lemonade we were too stuffed to go on a ride so went to the lei stand. Bryan got me a haku lei and we relaxed in the grass.

Then we shot some hoops - I did horribly, Bryan did pretty well. And Bryan tried out the strong man thing where you hit the bell with the big hammer. He actually did really well but was clearly beat by a 300 pound Hawaiian guy. Finally we had worked off our food so went on a ride. I chose the swings because the Superman one had a long line and I remember the swings being fun when I was a kid.

The swings are fun but a hell of a lot scarier than how I remember them! We are wimps...

Finally, we got some cheap houseplants and ended our day at the carnival. Hooray for the Punahou Carnival!
