Whoa...

I just had the heaviest, clearest "what the hell are we doing here?" thought. It feels terrible.

Life has been busy and stressful lately. And not Hawaii-like at all. It's a weird place to be. If we're not going to go to the beach and eat papayas all day long, do we need to be here? Because we can work, eat and pay bills in just about every city. It's hard to balance what I wanted out of this experience and what I've lined up for my reality.

I'm sure this will pass. I'm off to an event in Waikiki tonight which might feel more 'Hawaii' (or it might turn me off completely because Waikiki is truly a zoo) and I've already promised myself I will go to the beach this weekend. I might even eat a papaya too.
