I'll have two glasses of white wine (big glasses, mind you) and some crab cakes and then walk along the beachwalk in my bare feet only to be greeted by strangers who like my dress (nice dress from H&M but makes my backend look positively flat), wish me a good evening, and whistle at me. I'll enjoy the full moon on the waves, the fact that I'm no cooler than I was at noon with no additional clothing on, and sink my feet deep in the sand. Here's an interesting thing... the sand is cool as you walk along it until you reach the breaking waves, then it gets warm where the water washed over it. Try that in San Francisco! See if your toes don't fall off... And then I'll travel to Taco Bell for delicious unhealthy food to soak up the wine. And there I'll encounter an interesting character who will remind Bryan to "listen to your wahine" and inform us "one and one make eleven."
Okay, you got me, I'll stick around for a while. Because, Hawaii, you have your own crazy charm. And you have free wine at the Outrigger hotel. And that's exactly what I needed.

Hey there!
I get the same feelings here in Colorado...They pass as well - when I see those beautiful mountains, or my kids are laughing with their grandmum. Things are never quite as we envision them.... Hang in there! :)
Sounds like you've got it figured out
