Weekend Update

This weekend was great. But we didn't take any pictures so nothing to post to fancy up this entry.

Friday we went to a birthday party hosted by some very cool paddling people. It was fine example of how Bryan and I balance each other perfectly. The invite to the party was MINE. Anyone we talked to was a connection of MINE. But hours later when I was about to fall asleep and had to drag Bryan out the door, HE had chatted with infinitely more people than I had, got a few numbers of nice people, hooked up a potential future ride on a fishing boat, and checked out the hosts' board games. I'm the organizer, he's the socializer. It all works out.

Saturday I skipped practice to sleep in. Felt sooooo good! I also got my first successful haircut in Hawaii. With a fabulously gay man that reminded me of home. He chopped inches off and I have to see how it falls when I don't spend 45 minutes drying it like he did. But, I may have found a hairdresser I can commit to. Hooray!

Saturday evening we went to dinner at a very cute and yummy restaurant called Town. All future visitors will be taken to Town for at least one meal. They use local ingredients and are organic whenever possible. Their mango and avocado salad is the best thing I have ever had with lettuce! After dinner we met our friends Gordon and Goldie (hi!) for a late movie at the Dollar Theater. The DaVinci Code. Fine for $1. The book, of course, was better.

Sunday we gathered up my brother and his two friends and went to the beach. A new beach for us and definitely a favorite. Bellows. Also gave the Boogie Boards a test drive. A very good day.

Tonight, we're going to see the Black Eyed Peas! I'm so excited it makes up for today being a Monday with my boss just back from a three week vacation.

Some of our best beach days in the 70's were at Bellows - good to hear you guys are enjoying it also!
