Magical Slippers

During a Hawaii visit of my childhood my grandpa took me to Longs to get new slippers. I was suppose to just choose a pair of 99 cent black rubber slippers but a 'fancy' pair caught my eye. They were tacky fake leather and made a fabulous slapping sound when I walked. They probably cost $5 - an outrageous price for Longs slippers. I kept those for years and wore them with pride.

Some things never change.

Ever since I saw this pair of metallic Reefs, I knew I needed to have them. Yesterday all my dreams came true as I paid WAY too much money for rubber slippers and made them mine.

Happy feet!

Just like grampa to let you get away with "fancier" slippahs.

I actually heard a woman this weekend threaten her kid "Or I'll take this rubba slippah offa my foot..."

Also, love the Reefs with the bottle opener. I got my brother a pair. If they had those in gold... Oh, I can't even imagine the joy!
