This weekend was an excellent example of the two sides of my life...
On Saturday I met my friend Jaisy and her parents for a very nice brunch at Longhi's. Over yummy food we shared great conversations about life, families, and wedding plans. We laughed and hugged and had a great time. Then later in the day I met two of my co-workers for afternoon tea at the Moana Surfrider to celebrate one's upcoming wedding. We talked about our relationships, our future plans, our wedding details. We exchanged gifts, gossiped and relaxed.
On Sunday I was up before the sun and paddled with nine other girls for 3 hours and 41 minutes along 26 miles of Oahu's coast. I sweated and grunted and winced in pain. We yelled and cheered on our crew. I ended the day with a cut thumb, a bruised left elbow and right leg, and an unfortunate sunburn.
In my mind, a very perfect weekend. And very true to my life here.
