She toured the island with friends on Thursday, we hit Waikiki on Friday, kayaked to the Kaneohe sandbar on Saturday, and putted around town on Sunday.
The highlight adventure was definitely the kayaking trip. We loaded up our silly car with two gigantic kayaks and drove across the island. We paddled maybe 45 minutes until we reached this beautiful stretch of sand completely surrounded by crystal aqua water only inches deep. It was like something from an ad for Tahiti. Absolutely unreal. We stayed for a few hours and made friends with some kids who gave us beer. Then we paddled back and headed home. Unfortunately we took the pictures on some sort of over exposed mode so they really suck.
Before I realized it, it was Monday morning and we had to say goodbye. Too sad! It had all felt so easy and normal, as if she simply lived down the street or something.

Thanks for being nice and saying the pictures are overexposed, when really it's my blindingly pale white skin that is causing the glow :)
I had such a fantastic time - I highly recommend the kayak/sandbar adventure to any future visitors.
Miss you guys already!
I have always loved having friends and family visit. Being a military wife, I have gotten to live in some fun places.
It looks like your friend had a great time and will have some fun memories of her visit with y'all!
