Working for the Weekend

Everyone's watching to see what you will do

The few weeks have been very work-heavy for Bryan and I. Bryan tends to work in the evenings and I spend mine at the gym or aimlessly thinking about our wedding. Our days are completely filled with work and the office. Without paddling to keep me busy during the week, my fun has come on the weekends.

And we have had some great weekends.


Everybody's working for the weekend, everybody wants a little romance


Last weekend was gloriously three days long. We started the weekend with an early Valentine's Day dinner. On Saturday we celebrated real Valentine's Day at a friend's wedding in a beautiful location. It was great to dress up, go out, have dinner and have entertainment - all organized by someone else! I even had a new dress!



And there were fire dancers at the wedding!


On Sunday we motivated relatively early and spent the entire day on the North Shore. We sat on the beach, watched the surfers, marveled at the pretty scenery, ate at our favorite restaurant, and indulged in Shave Ice. We felt like we were on vacation for 24 hours.

Monday was about errands, which was fine because we'd already had so much fun, and an unsuccessful beach visit.

The weekend before last, my friends and I threw a bachelorette party for a friend of ours that eloped in January. FUN!


And the next day I sat in the sun and leisurely caught up with paddling friends.


Everybody's goin off the deep end


The weekend before that we had the awesome experience of karaoke IN A RESTAURANT. Ooh, it was painful for the other customers. But I have truly never laughed that hard. It was fantastic.




This weekend?

Well, Sunday is our 6th anniversary. And if you know us well, you know it's also the three year anniversary of our move to Hawaii. We're celebrating by taking engagement pictures with our wedding photographer. I am so excited and very nervous. I have been OBSESSING about what I should wear and have been very terrified that my makeup will look like I'm not wearing any. But we have really awesome photographers and I am confident we will have super gorgeous pictures. And when we do, I'll share at least one with you.

It will be perfect to have pictures of the weekend.
