Tourists in Our Own Town

About ten months ago Bryan and I got a certificate for a free Segway tour of Waikiki. On Saturday we finally redeemed it. Like two total tourists, we donned our helmets and learned how to ride a Segway.

It's not quite as simple as they lead you to believe but it's not difficult either. We didn't crash into anyone or zoom out of control. We Segway-ed in and out of tourists - some looking on in awe, some in shock, some in annoyance - and cruised along the coast to Diamond Head. Along the way we stopped for all the classic tourist photos.

Rainbow Tower - we must be in Hawaii!

Shaka with Duke.

At the beach!

Double shaka! No hands!

Don't we look silly? I have to say, I felt very Japanese.

Our tour guide was a little camera-happy and kept snapping away. We left with about 25 random shots, and almost 10 videos. Check them out for the ultimate documentation of our uber-tourist Segway adventure.
